My keyboard is using the wrong keys?

I'm obviously not using it right now, but my emachines notebook is using the wrong keys. It was bought new about 18 months ago. I don't know the model number or anything. When I type o, it shows up as "uo." When I type L it shows up as JL. When I type I it shows up as YI. Why is it doing this? How can I fix it?
